ICC Partners with Marriott Bonvoy in 2026 to Enhance Fan Engagement Worldwide

ICC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a global, multi-year partnership with Marriott Bonvoy, naming the award-winning travel platform as the Official Accommodation Partner of ICC men’s events through 2029.

The collaboration aims to elevate how fans experience international cricket by seamlessly combining world-class sporting action with premium global travel and hospitality.

A Partnership That Blends Cricket and Travel

Under the agreement, fans attending ICC tournaments will gain access to premium accommodation across Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive global portfolio, making travel to marquee cricket events more convenient and immersive.

The partnership will cover all ICC men’s events, beginning with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, starting 7 February 2026.

Jay Shah: Creating Deeper Fan Connections

ICC Chairman Jay Shah described the collaboration as a step toward transforming the way cricket fans engage with the game beyond the boundary ropes.

“We are thrilled to welcome Marriott Bonvoy into a partnership that reflects a shared ambition to redefine how fans experience the game of cricket,” Shah said.

“By combining the global reach of our game with Marriott’s portfolio of world-class destinations, we are creating a powerful platform that connects cricket and memorable travel experiences across leading cricketing nations.”

Shah also highlighted that the partnership aligns with the International Cricket Council’s broader vision of working with global brands that offer meaningful fan value, rather than just visibility.

Strengthening ICC’s Global Commercial Portfolio

The announcement further strengthens the ICC’s already impressive list of global partners. Recently, the International Cricket Council has added Hyundai Motor and AB InBev to its sponsorship portfolio, which already includes major global brands such as Emirates, Aramco, DP World, Sobha, and Coca-Cola.

Additionally, Google and Unilever continue to support ICC women’s events, reflecting the governing body’s growing commercial footprint across formats and genders.

ICC CEO: Elevating the Entire Fan Journey

ICC Chief Executive Officer Sanjog Gupta emphasized that modern cricket events are about more than just what happens on the field.

“While the athletic spectacle is central to a fan’s experience, the lifestyle, hospitality, travel and cultural components are essential too,” Gupta said.

“ICC events are hosted across the world and fans cover thousands of miles to experience the allure of these cultural spectacles. Marriott Bonvoy’s international footprint and commitment to elevated experiences make them a natural partner.”

Marriott Bonvoy’s Global Reach Comes into Play

The partnership will leverage Marriott Bonvoy’s global footprint of more than 450 properties across key International Cricket Council event markets. These offerings will cater not only to fans, but also to players, officials, and ICC stakeholders.

Marriott Bonvoy President for Asia Pacific (excluding China) Rajeev Menon highlighted the scale of the opportunity.

“Cricket’s dominance as a sport has the power to unite fans across countries. We’re now bringing the power of Marriott Bonvoy to over two billion fans and delivering bespoke cricket experiences to our 260 million members.”

Meanwhile, Marriott International President for Europe, Middle East and Africa Satya Anand spoke about the emotional connection between cricket and travel.

“Cricket has been a lifelong passion for me. Partnering with the International Cricket Council allows Marriott Bonvoy to turn that shared passion into unforgettable journeys, giving our members unmatched ways to experience ICC events on and off the pitch.”

Exclusive Experiences for Fans

As part of the partnership, fans attending International Cricket Council tournaments will be able to:

  • Stay at Marriott Bonvoy properties near match venues

  • Access exclusive official travel packages

  • Enjoy curated experiences through ICC Travel and Tours

These offerings aim to transform cricket tournaments into holistic travel experiences, combining sport, culture, and hospitality.

Conclusion

The International Cricket Council’s partnership with Marriott Bonvoy marks a significant evolution in how global cricket events are experienced. By integrating premium travel, hospitality, and fan engagement into the sport’s biggest tournaments, the ICC is moving beyond traditional sponsorship models.
